Description
The Buddies Slow Feed Dog Bowl stops your dog inhaling their food. A raised maze pattern forces them to nose their way around the ridges, turning a 20-second gobble into a 15-minute meal that's healthier for their gut and gentler on their stomach.
Why owners love it
- 5-10× slower eating: the internal maze pattern makes bolting impossible, cutting bloat, vomiting and reflux risk.
- Reduces bloat & GDV risk: vets consistently recommend slow feeders for deep-chested breeds prone to life-threatening gastric torsion.
- Turns dinner into enrichment: the puzzle element gives your dog a mental workout every meal, useful for anxious or under-stimulated dogs.
- Non-slip rubber base: 20.5cm base grips kitchen tile and laminate so the bowl doesn't skid across the floor mid-meal.
- Food-safe PP construction: BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and easy to wipe between meals.
Who it's for
Fast eaters (retrievers, spaniels, labs, boxers), deep-chested breeds at risk of GDV, dogs that regurgitate after meals, and puppies still learning that food isn't a race.

So happy with this purchase. Its exactly what we needed for our senior boy and its made a real difference. Delivery was fast and the product is really well made.
Took about 10 days to arrive. Well made, exactly as described, dog loves it. 5 stars all round.
Do yourself a favour and just buy it. My cocker spaniel is 11 and has had a tough year with her back legs. Since we started using this she has been so much happier in herself. Genuinely emotional writing this. Thank you Buddies.
Arrived within the timeframe they said. Very well made, sturdy, and my dog took to it straight away no fuss at all.
The quality is a big step up from the last one we tried from Amazon. Wish we had found Buddies sooner honestly. Little Ted is a very happy boy.
Highly recommended. Buddies have been fantastic from ordering to delivery.
Arrived within the window they gave, tracking was spot on the whole way. Really pleased.
delivery was a bit slow but the product itself is great
The old boy has been so much perkier since we started using this. Best thing weve bought for him in a long time.
Third order this year. Never had an issue. Great company.
Went above and beyond honestly. Small note in the box which was a lovely touch. Product itself is fab.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you buy. Still unsure? Our UK team is happy to help.
Contact us →Will my dog get frustrated?
The maze is challenging enough to slow eating but easy enough to prevent giving up. Fast-eater breeds usually adapt within 2-3 meals.
Which breeds benefit most?
Retrievers, labs, spaniels, boxers, any fast eater. Deep-chested breeds (GSDs, weimaraners, dobermans, great danes) benefit most from GDV risk reduction.
Can it be used with wet food?
Yes. Rinse thoroughly between meals, the maze grooves catch food easily.
Which size for my dog?
The 19cm bowl suits small to medium breeds. Very large breeds (retrievers, GSDs) may need to eat in two sittings.
