Description
The Buddies Padded Recovery Collar does the job of a plastic cone without the misery. Soft nylon and hollow pearl-cotton filling hold their shape well enough to stop your dog reaching a wound, while letting them eat, drink and sleep like a normal dog.
Why owners choose Buddies
- Holds its shape: a padded collar only works if it stays up. This one is built not to collapse.
- Soft and breathable: nylon with hollow pearl-cotton filling, comfortable for days of wear.
- No crashing into doorframes: dogs settle far faster in this than in a rigid cone.
- Six sizes, eight colours: XS through XXL, so it fits properly rather than nearly.
Who it's for
Dogs recovering from surgery, spays, neuters or skin treatment. Worth knowing: a padded collar suits wounds on the body and hindquarters. For a dog determined to reach a paw or lower leg, a leg sleeve or a rigid cone may still be the safer choice — ask your vet.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you buy. Still unsure? Our UK team is happy to help.
Contact us →Will it actually stop them reaching the wound?
For wounds on the body and hindquarters, yes. A determined dog reaching a paw or lower leg may still manage it, in which case a leg sleeve or rigid cone is safer. Ask your vet where the wound is.
Can they eat and drink in it?
Yes, which is the main advantage over a rigid cone. Most dogs manage a normal bowl without help.
Can they sleep in it?
Yes. The padding means they can rest their head, which is why dogs settle so much better in these.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash cool and air dry fully. Do not tumble dry, as heat damages the filling.
